BECKY MAYHEW has a degree from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh in graphic design and illustration. Her business, “The Art Shoppe,” is in Houston, PA, where she works in a realistic style: painting in oils and watercolor, drawing in any medium, and doing calligraphy.

Her main source of inspiration is the beauty of nature’s landscapes, flowers and gardens. Her work has been commissioned for businesses, churches, and private homes.

Not only does she work in these different mediums, she loves to show others how to do it, too. Her classes for children and adults are very popular. Students have commented that she’s “the best-kept secret in the Pittsburgh area.”
